No commentsXMarks for chrome alpha 0.4.19
I’m a heavy user of XMarks as I use 3 different browsers, each one for it’s purpose (IE for testing at work when we are developing for mainly IE, FF for general dev and Chrome for fast Internet :)).
XMarks has now entered the alpha stage for the Chrome plug-in. I tested it on Chrome 4.0.206.1 and it works great so far.

No commentsWrong image in article. mistake or a saying?
In an article discussing the rise of apartments pricing in Israel during the latest financial crisis, an image of a cemetery was added with the writing “The big drop in interest rates caused a big rise in the demand for apartments”. A cynical approach or a careless editor?

An update to my Adsense issue
As you probably read earlier, Google made payment to my closed bank account and for sometime there was no hope for me as I thought my money was lost forever…
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw that my account was re-credited with the payment. So, there is hope for all the guys waiting for their money after all. Goodluck!
No commentsRemember the SOUR video I posted before?
if not, there you go…
Well, Israeli cellphone service provider Cellcom just published a TV commercial for a music festival, exactly the same.
I hope SOUR got paid, otherwise that is a total rip-off. Anyway, here is the video, judge for yourself:
Adsense made payment to my old, closed bank account…
At first I thought the money is lost, especially after reading this…
Just finished a phone call with my old bank, the bank-lady told me that they manage a “problems” account, holding all the rejected payments of closed accounts reason. It’s too late now so she can’t tell if my money is there and what is the procedure to get it but she did tell me that if I call 2morrow morning, they might help me. I’ll update when I get a better answer. I’m optimistic. :)
**update** Talked to my bank and according to what they say, the payment had been returned to citibank… I’ll wait a few days and hope it reappears in my adsense account.
some more on the issue from adsense support forums.
No commentsBobby McFerrin at the world science festival 2009
The World Science Festival is an annual event taking place in NYC. It aims at moving science out of the labs and into the streets where it can collide with the real world and real people. In one of the sessions being held under the title of “Notes & Neurons: In Search of the Common Chorus“, Bobby McFerrin demonstrated how easy it is to manipulate our mind using music. Very interesting.

No commentsThe DIRM developer
Digging through forums, reading tons of articles, meetings over meetings and hours of thinking of little semantics… Sure we should try and implement these best practices when we have time… but when we do not? oh, you know what? does all these little things really matter? why not just get the job done? :)
Great article by Jacob Gube of Six Revisions.
